groundhog day benefit concert

i designed this poster for my friend mark sloan and the halsey institute for contemporary art. it is the first of many, hopefully, concerts for the halsey. the opposite of a train is performing, musical director -- the stupendous bill carson. mark lawrence silkscreened this on some heavy french paper with a gloss red ink. if you see this post in time, please come support the most innovative and smart gallery in the south. it is on groundhog day, tues, feb. 2, memminger auditorium, charleston, sc. sa-weet!

the assmonkeys!

my esteemed friend and senior designer, mark lawrence, here at gsgd, designed and screened this poster for me for our annual new years eve party. it was my christmas gift from mark and probably one of the best i ever received. amazing work. it is a two color silk screen on a red velvet stock. beautiful. many thanks mark.

one nation under rock...

it's back! the famous music unlimited teacher student concert at the windjammer on isle of palms. january 29th and 30th. be sure to come out, drink a beer and listen to several generations of up and coming rockstars. it is fun.

when things get busy, blogs go dark

hey yall! i haven't done a post recently cuz time has been lost with the business of art. we have been creating some killer stuff that i hope to post real soon (as in the next day or two). in the meantime, i am posting a photo of this weeks pecha kucha 5 event poster that mark and i screened this weekend. text still needs to be screened onto it but it is virtually finished. we used gloss latex paint on a heavy uncoated paper stock, so the paint sits on top and throughout the printing process weird things happen. so needless to say no two are alike--saaa-weeet! later
